The NT$1.5 million KGI BANK TLPGA Futures kicks off tomorrow for its three-day run at the Sunrise Golf & Country Club.
The field features 61 professionals from across Asia, along with 12 top amateurs. Adding to the high stakes, the tournament will award two wildcards for the Taiwan Prosperity Ladies Open scheduled for June.
KGI Bank, a long-term supporter of Taiwanese arts and sports, is making its debut as a title sponsor for the TLPGA Tour Futures. The bank aims to provide a platform for international competition and exchange, helping to nurture the next generation of golfing talents.
Headline players this week include Chen Chih-Min (陳之敏), who claimed her second career win last year; four-time TLPGA winner Chang Wenny Ching-Ling (張靖翎), and 2026 TLPGA Tour Qualifying Tournament winner Huang Ting-Hsuan (黃亭瑄). They are joined by fellow TLPGA titlists Shih Cheng-Hsuan (石澄璇), Chen Min-Jou (陳敏柔), and Phoebe Yao (姚宣榆). This Futures-level event serves as a vital bridge for veteran pros and rising stars to share experience and competitive growth.
This week’s backdrop, Sunrise Golf & Country Club, is a cornerstone of Taiwanese golf. As the nation’s first premier training base, it has served as a center for the Asian Games and Universiade squads, functioning as a vital launchpad for elite players heading to the international stage.
The 2026 KGI BANK TLPGA Futures runs from April 21 to 23. Thursday’s champion will take home a winner’s check of NT$263,000. |
