The 2026 TLPGA Tour travels overseas to the Philippines this week, heading to Lipa City, Batangas, for the three-way co-sanctioned ICTSI Philippine Ladies Masters.
Featuring a US$200,000 purse, this 54-hole tournament marks the official opening of the 2026 season, jointly sanctioned by the TLPGA, the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour (LPGT), and the KLPGA, with backing from the Asia Golf Leaders Forum (AGLF).
The backdrop for this week is the Summit Point Golf and Country Club, a venue celebrated for its signature bamboo and coconut groves, unpredictable wind patterns, and strategic hazards.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and completed in 2006, the layout serves as a tribute to the world’s most iconic courses, incorporating inspired features from Oakland Hills, Pine Valley, and Augusta National.
For the 2026 ICTSI Philippine Ladies Masters, the course is set to 6,341 yards with a par of 72.
Ten players utilized today’s Pro-Am event to test the course one last time, warming up for the official rounds scheduled from Wednesday through Friday.
New TLPGA Chairwoman Huang Bie-Shyun shared her well-wishes for the upcoming season. "I hope all our players continue to break new ground and reach new heights this year. I also want to take this opportunity to send an early Lunar New Year greeting to everyone, who has been giving us incredible supports. May the year ahead bring you happiness and success. I look forward to seeing our athletes deliver their best performances in front of these amazing Filipino fans."
The 123-player field, including 58 TLPGA members, will tee off tomorrow morning. The field will be cut to the top-60 and ties after Thursday’s second round. |
